If you’re anything like me, you love fixed gear bikes and watching YouTube videos. But what are some of the best-fixed gear and track bike YouTube channels?

The best fixed-gear YouTube channels are:

Here are some of my favorite fixed gear and track bike YouTube channels. These channels are listed in no particular order. 

1. Matt Reyes’s YouTube Channel

This is, without a doubt, one of the premier fixed gear channels. This channel is a must-watch for fans of fixed gear freestyle. Matt Reyes (also known as “slumlord” on Instagram) is the star of this channel. But he sometimes has guests on, so it’s always a great watch. 

This is a very polished and highly produced channel. This is impressive even if you’re not a fixed-gear cyclist. The amount of craftsmanship that goes into every video is impressive. Everything from the lighting to the color grading is top-notch. Check out the video below.

2. Zach Gallardo’s YouTube Channel

Zack’s channel is, without a doubt, the authoritative place for beginner fixed gear cycling. He dives into subjects like gear ratio and what you should look for when buying your first fixie, and more. When I first started, I watched this channel religiously. Channel host Zach Gallardo is extremely well-spoken. He’s the kind of guy that can write a 10-page essay with great eloquence. He lives and breathes fixed-gear bicycles. 

Having spent the previous year traveling to Asia to ride his fixed gear bike and immerse himself in diverse bicycle-friendly cultures, Zach is a down-to-earth guy who makes riding fixed gear seem extremely approachable. His catchphrase is:

“Remember that life is short, but don’t make it shorter, so ride your bike every day to be reasonable.”

3. FOAD Gang’s YouTube Channel

You probably already know about this channel if you’re into fixed gear freestyle. And if you don’t, what are you doing? Start watching now. The forward gang is all about freestyle fixed-gear riding. This channel is probably not aimed at beginners as they really go into niche subjects related to fixing your bike. And because they are all about track cycling without brakes.

They have a whole series on how to do some of the most popular freestyle fixed gear riding tricks.

4. Brooklyn Fixed Gear’s YouTube Channel

Oh, come on. You didn’t think I was just going to let this opportunity for a Shameless plug disappear, did you? In all seriousness, the Brooklyn FixedGear channel does not have much content yet, but it’s in the works, so please subscribe. Here are a few tips to keep in mind if you’re considering starting a bike channel on YouTube.

1. Be passionate about cycling 

This is key! If you are not interested in cycling, your videos will not be as engaging or interesting to viewers. You don’t have to live in

San Francisco, but being in a bike-friendly city might be nice.

2. Write engaging and interesting content

Whether you are writing descriptions for your videos or producing your own content, make it easy for viewers to understand and enjoy.

3. Get good gear
